Service: to build senior leadership clarity around the role and strategy of the HR team in Nottinghamshire County Council


Outcomes

With rezolvPS support, the HR senior leadership team gained a deep understanding of the impact they presently have across Nottingham.

 

Working with key stakeholders across the Council, they built a new definition of the substantial strategic - and operational - contribution they will make to realise the Council’s vision for Nottingham. 

 

They identified their strategic role and the level of influence they needed to fulfil it – and agreed this with other key leaders across the Council.

 

They identified the outcomes and process which would foster a new level of delivery and culture – within present budget constraints.

 

Background

The Human Resources Senior Leadership Team had recognised the need for change across HR and the Council team. This was reflected in uncertainty over HR’s role and in the changing composition of the HR team itself.  They wanted to build clarity and raise substantially their strategic role and impact. 

 

Process

Using rezolvPS processes we enabled the Notts HR Senior team to:

·       engage with each other, jointly facing into present realities;

·       understand how motivation and culture impact on team and organisation;

·       engage strategically with other leaders to clarify the strategic value of HR to Notts and the influence needed;

·       identify a strategic process of change across the Council.
