Service: enable leaders from different agency and professional backgrounds to raise the impact of a children’s integrated disability service
Outcomes
All outcomes were achieved:
Background
Pioneers in integrating services for children, Flintshire wanted to refocus the
service and raise its impact, placing the child at the centre. This would require leaders and personnel of
very different professional backgrounds (education, social services, health)
with differing views and aspirations to think and act as one team.
Process
rezolvPS was initially invited to conduct a review of the service. Following the review, rezolvPS was invited to build clarity at strategic level and change leadership - and help the team focus on outcomes.
The rezolvPS process enabled key leaders to refocus on what they could achieve for children. Using rezolvPS’ strategic planning tools, the process involved a series of challenging strategy labs, focusing upon building clarity at the level of leadership. This would then be followed by development and change amongst the operational members of the team.
Carol Salmon, Head of Social Services (Children), said of this work with rezolvPS:
“RezolvPS delivered all the outcomes we wanted very well! The strategy activities were very effective - as were the workshops and inputs. This was most important as it freed up dialogue amongst the senior leaders and resolved some longstanding blockages!”
