Service: to transform senior leadership in Swindon Borough Council and build a strategy to serve the community
Outcomes
With rezolvPS support, the senior leadership team gained a deep understanding of the impact they presently have across Swindon.
Working with key stakeholders’ perspectives across the Council, they built a new definition of the substantial strategic - and operational - contribution they will make – and the process steps to make it happen.
They identified their strategic role and the level of influence they needed to fulfil it.
They identified the outcomes and process which would foster a new level of delivery and culture – within present budget constraints.
Background
Swindon Council has challenging ambitions for its service and community. The Strategic Director (change) wanted a tailor-made programme to transform his senior team – and help them build a strategy to engage other organisations in the community. They wanted to build clarity and raise substantially their strategic role and impact.
Process
Using rezolvPS processes we enabled the Swindon Senior Leadership team to:
· engage with each other, jointly facing into present realities of performance;
· understand how motivation and culture impact on team and organisation;
· engage strategically with other leaders to clarify the value of the service and possibilities to extend the service to the community;
· identify a strategic process of engagement with other services in the wider community.
